Rotational Molding Services

Rotational molding (also known as rotomolding / rotocasting) uses centrifugal force to coat the inner walls of the molds with plastic and can create low-stress, seamless, hollow plastic parts. We create for you a hollow mold which is filled with a calculated quantity of powder and spins in an oven until the mold has been evenly coated with the desired thickness. The part is then cooled and removed from the mold.

We can create parts in many different sizes, shapes, and complexity. Perfect for prototyping all the way up to large volume.

OTHER IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS:

COLORS

In custom molding, we currently stock (32) solid and speckled colors but we can customize to any color. Within the sheet plastic arena, many colors are available.

MATERIALS

The most common fabrication materials are Polyethylene, Acrylic, and Polycarbonate. Other materials we have used in fabrication are Polypropylene, PETG, PVDF (Kynar), ABS, and PVC. There are many other plastic types available to us. Please inquire.

MOLDED-IN METAL INSERTS

In custom molding, molded-in Inserts will dramatically reduce the assembly time of most projects. The most common materials are Aluminum, Brass, and Stainless Steel. While most are threaded, there is quite a variety available including custom configurations. Let us know what you need.

WELDED FITTINGS

In plastic molding, there are many styles of fittings that can be welded into place almost wherever you want. Plastic welding produces strong, leak-free, and very cost effective options.

LASER CUTTING & LASER ETCHING

The fine cutting and etching of a commercial laser is far better in detail than can be accomplished on even the best CNC Router. We’ve got one.

TOLERANCES

In custom fabrication, all sheet material is cut on our 3-axis CNC MultiCam Router. The maximum table size is 84” x 122” and is very accurate.

MOLD-IN PLASTIC GRAPHICS

On molded Polyethylene items, we can install any graphic, in any color combination, and in any size.
